Lucas Bergvall should be free to leave Tottenham if he wishes.
Thomas Frank is taking Tottenham down the wrong path at the moment, and he is not utilising Bergvall to his full capabilities.
The Sweden international has started just eight of the Lilywhites’ 17 Premier League games this campaign, not helped by injuries, and is being underused when available.
Bergvall has unique talents that nobody else offers for Spurs’ midfield, but the Tottenham boss just can’t see it.
Ange Postecoglou deserves credit for bringing Bergvall to N17 last year; however, it may now be time for the teenager to move on.

Liverpool eye £51.6m deal for Lucas Bergvall
Tottenham signed Bergvall from Swedish side Djurgarden on a deal that will see the midfielder stay at N17 until 2031.
Right now, the starlet is one of the Premier League’s brightest prospects, let alone Tottenham’s, and it’s understandable why attention may surround his name.
Bergvall has already been said to be unhappy with the lack of playing time, which may concern Tottenham, given the latest transfer update.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, despite spending heavily in the summer, Liverpool want further additions and are keeping an eye on Bergvall.
The Reds are believed to be “ready” to make an offer of just below £52million for the 19-year-old, but the Lilywhites are said to be not even considering a sale.
But that’s where there may be an issue, because there’s no way that Bergvall will be content with the lack of faith that Frank has shown in him so far.
Bergvall will outgrow Tottenham at this rate
Time will tell if Bergvall will join Arne Slot’s side or not, but one thing is for sure at this point, and that is he will eventually outgrow Spurs.
Things are going from bad to worse for the Lilywhites, with backroom changes happening every other month and uncertainty over Frank’s future.
If an offer was made in January, Bergvall could see it as the perfect opportunity to jump ship and continue his progression.
The teenager has proved that he’s only gotten better since last season, but somehow it feels like he is playing less football.
Supporters may have to brace themselves for losing a fan favourite.
