Lucas Bergvall is going from strength to strength at Tottenham Hotspur after his first-ever Premier League goal against West Ham on Saturday.
Tottenham Hotspur sit pretty in third place in the Premier League table after four matches, with three wins under their belt so far.
The most eye-catching thing about the Lilywhites is their defensive improvement, with Thomas Frank’s men keeping three clean sheets and conceding just one goal so far this campaign.
Even individually, Tottenham players have been standing out, with Ricarlison winning the Player of the Week award in gameweek 1, and that was followed by Joao Palhinha being voted the best player in gameweek 2.
Lucas Bergvall wins Player of the Week award
For the third time in four weeks, the award has gone to a Tottenham player, and this time, it is Lucas Bergvall who has won the prize.
The Swede made his second start of the season against West Ham and was a surprise inclusion in Thomas Frank’s eleven, but he certainly vindicated the Spurs’ boss’s decision.

The Hammers struggled to cope with his energy and dynamism, and he put the game to bed with a brilliant header just before the hour mark after being picked out with a perfect long ball by Cristian Romero.
He then showed quick feet inside the box to set up Micky van de Ven for Tottenham’s third goal.
Competition for places in Tottenham’s midfield is heating up
Thomas Frank has admitted that he loves Bergvall’s energy and enthusiasm, and it is going to be difficult for the Dane to leave out the teenager after that performance.
However, Rodrigo Bentancur has also started the season well, showing signs of becoming the player he was prior to his ACL injury.
Meanwhile, Pape Sarr has thrived with the freedom offered by Frank’s system, while the new signing Joao Palhinha has settled in seamlessly.
With Archie Gray also impressing in his only start and with Xavi Simons arriving through the door, the competition for places in Tottenham’s midfield is intensifying.
