Luka Vuskovic’s talent may force Tottenham Hotspur to sell one of Micky van de Ven or Cristian Romero in the summer, John Wenham has said.
Vuskovic signed for the Lilywhites in 2025, two years after agreeing terms, but the 19-year-old is yet to play a single match for Spurs as he requested to go out on loan at the start of the season.
He is currently shining on loan in the Bundesliga with Hamburg, leading to transfer speculation with the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Tottenham rate Vuskovic very highly, and will be keen to ward off any potential interest in his services when the window reopens.

What was said about Vuskovic’s future at Tottenham?
Wenham believes that Tottenham may have to sell one of their starting centre-back pairing to convince Vuskovic that his future is in North London.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “Vuskovic will, if Tottenham can stay in the Premier League, become a part of the first team next year, I’m sure of it.
“He’s got a contract till 2030, as many of these players that are talking about going, it’ll be down to Tottenham at the end of the day, not these players.
“The only players out of contract are Yves Bissouma and Ben Davies, and they’re both free to go with our best wishes.
“I just can’t see how he goes, he might be wanted by all of Europe and all this kind of stuff, but I think Tottenham will have control of the situation.
“He’s so good, and the potential is so high that actually, you may consider selling one of Romero or van der Ven to accommodate a starting space for Vuskovic from next season.
“I think the time is right for one of them to move on, not both. I think that would weaken us drastically, but one might have to be sold in order to facilitate, you know, Vuskovic having this platform to play.
“And I think that would really show his agent and the club that there is a pathway being made for him.”
How has Vuskovic performed this season?
Vuskovic has featured 23 times in the league for the German side so far this season.
He has scored five goals and created nine chances in those matches, despite the fact that he is a central defender.
In terms of his defensive ability, he had won 69.2 per cent of his duels on the ground and 75.9 per cent of the aerial battles that he contests.
Those figures will have Lilywhites supporters very excited, and it is easy to see why Wenham believes he is ready for a starting berth.
