Manchester United are looking to take advantage of Tottenham's difficult last few years by targeting one of their players ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils are likely to hold more power in the upcoming transfer window after qualifying for the Champions League this season.
The board will be looking to back Michael Carrick after naming him as their permanent manager following an impressive few months in charge.
United will need reinforcements in the summer as they look to build a bigger squad capable of dealing with the extra fixtures that come with playing in Europe.
The lack of European distraction this season certainly helped Carrick towards the end of the campaign, but his job gets a little more difficult now after Champions League qualification.
Man Utd Eyeing Tottenham Raid
According to a report from Sports Boom, Manchester United are one of the sides showing an interest in Tottenham defender Luka Vuskovic ahead of the summer transfer window.
Spurs are believed to value the 19-year-old in the region of £60 million, with a host of clubs keen on the young defender.
Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund are among his suitors, while Barcelona are also pushing for a permanent transfer.
Vuskovic, described as 'special', spent this season on loan at Hamburg, enjoying a phenomenal campaign.
The Croatian starlet will now return to Tottenham ahead of pre-season, but it remains to be seen where his future lies.
Tottenham Might Not Sell to Man Utd
With interest in Vuskovic from around the continent, there's no doubt Tottenham would rather sell the youngster abroad than in the Premier League.
Although it might not seem like it, given the difference between the two sides at the moment, Spurs will be looking to push for the top half and potentially European places next season.
They will likely consider United a rival in doing so, so selling Vuskovic to the Red Devils wouldn't make a lot of sense.
If Spurs are planning on selling Vuskovic this summer, a move to Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, or Barcelona feels more likely.
