Ruben Amorim has sent a reality check to his Manchester United players over something he noticed ahead of the Premier League match against Tottenham.
Manchester United face a tough test on Saturday afternoon when the Red Devils visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face Thomas Frank’s Spurs side.
The Red Devils took their foot off the pedal when it came to their performance last Saturday during the Premier League tie against Nottingham Forest at City Ground.
United were 1-0 up against Nottingham Forest at half-time after Bruno Fernandes picked out Casemiro for the Red Devils’ first-half opener from a corner kick.
Sean Dyche’s men rallied back early in the second half and Forest were 2-1 up against United only five minutes after the action had restarted at City Ground.
However, Ruben Amorim was able to avoid overseeing a United defeat last weekend after Amad Diallo’s sensational equaliser rescued a point for the Red Devils.

What Ruben Amorim noticed about Man Utd’s performance against Nottingham Forest ahead of the Tottenham match
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim had seen the Red Devils pick up three consecutive Premier League wins ahead of the result against Nottingham Forest.
The Red Devils dropped valuable points at City Ground and Amorim spotlighted some of the “small details” that he noticed from the Premier League match.
“You can attack really well,” he said at his pre-match press conference on Thursday, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“Sometimes when you defend better, you attack better, so I think it’s not that.”
Speaking at the Carrington training complex, Amorim added: “It’s the way we defend the box, but I think the last game we struggled a bit inside the box, because outside the box we allowed the crosses without any pressure.
“So, these small details you watch from the last game, we worked on during this week to try to improve that.”
Ruben Amorim sends a warning to his Man Utd players over a key detail from the 2-2 Nottingham Forest draw
Forest refused to let up with their attack against United and WhoScored revealed that Sean Dyche’s side registered 17 shots against the Red Devils last week.
Amorim has insisted that the Red Devils “cannot allow” another Premier League team to repeat what Forest did to United in the 2-2 draw at City Ground.
“We suffer goals, especially [at] the beginning of the season, but we didn’t allow much to Arsenal to win that game, but in our last game, they had 17 shots,” he added.
“That, we cannot allow. That is something that we need to change and we pay attention to that.
“We can attack the same way; we can score even more goals, but we need to defend better.”
The Red Devils and Spurs’ Premier League clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is scheduled for a 12:30pm kick-off time in the UK.
