Thomas Frank’s Tottenham seem to be in pole position to sign Manchester City attacking sensation Omar Marmoush.

Manchester City are all set to add more firepower to their attack in the upcoming transfer window, and it could mean that a couple of their players decide to move on.

With Pep Guardiola’s team set to trigger Antoine Semenyo’s £65 million release clause, Omar Marmoush’s future has become a massive talking point. According to a report from CaughtOffside, City fear losing him to Tottenham.

Omar Marmoush could push for an exit

Marmoush, who is currently away on international duty for the African Cup of Nations, joined City at the start of 2025. While he had an impressive start, the 26-year-old has gone down the pecking order in his first full season.

He has racked up less than 400 minutes of first-team action so far, and Semenyo’s arrival will further reduce his role in the team. Tottenham, who are keen on more firepower, are keeping tabs on his situation.

Tottenham to snatch Marmoush from City?

With Randal Kolo Muani not having the desired impact and Dominic Solanke struggling to stay fit, Spurs do seek more quality in the final third, and a ‘distinguished talent‘ like Marmoush can certainly help their cause.

While he prefers playing up top, the 26-year-old is comfortable enough to feature on the flanks as well as a number ten. Thomas Frank would absolutely love to have a player of his quality in his squad.

Tottenham are quite keen on acquiring his services, but City are reluctant to lose him mid-season. However, Semenyo’s arrival could force the player to push for an exit, and that could change things up.
