Manchester United have reportedly been handed a ‘major boost’ ahead of the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur tonight. Ruben Amorim’s side will look to salvage their season with both a piece of silverware and Champions League qualification, but will have to do so against a side that has already beaten them three times this season.

United were handed an initial triple injury boost when Leny Yoro, Diogo Dalot and Joshua Zirkzee returned to first-team training on the eve of the match, and it could be about to get even better for supporters.

The Athletic claim defender Yoro has been passed fit to start the match and will be named in the line up to face Spurs in Bilbao on Wednesday night. The French defender limped out of the recent home defeat to West Ham and missed the away defeat to Chelsea last Friday night, but could is expected to be included in the side.

Leny Yoro set to start Europa League final

Manchester United had feared Leny Yoro could miss the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur tonight, but he is now expected to start the match in Bilbao.

The 19-year-old picked up an injury in the home defeat to West Ham earlier in the month and was replaced by Victor Lindelof for the recent defeat to Chelsea. Yoro trained with the United side on the eve of the final and it is claimed he will be named in the starting line up after he proved his fitness, in what is a ‘major boost’ for head coach Ruben Amorim

Yoro has been an important player for United since he arrived from Lille and has played a key role in their run to the Europa League final. He has made seven appearances in the competition so far this season, and scored his first goal for the club in the quarter-final first leg against Lyon.

It is unclear whether fellow defender Diogo Dalot will be deemed fit to start, while Joshua Zirkzee should be named on the bench. Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez will both miss final due to injury and Chido Obi is ineligible to feature.
