The star’s agent had clarified his Instagram comments that caused confusion earlier.

There is a major rebuild expected at Tottenham, and among the players who are linked with an exit is Manor Solomon, who just had a good spell at Fiorentina.

And the Israeli international spoke about his future recently, insisting that he is not aware of what comes next despite many fans already convinced that the former Fulham man is on his way out of Tottenham.

He was candid in admitting that Lilywhites boss Roberto De Zerbi has not reached out to him at all since the new job started and there have been no meetings just yet; that hints at where the future of the 26-year-old wide forward lies.

Solomon has struggled since moving to Tottenham

Solomon has been struggling since he moved to Tottenham, it was first with injuries and then with jumping clubs on loan until he found Fiorentina, a place where he started finding his feet once again.

He did post on Instagram recently to thank the Fiorentina fans, and many were quick to draw conclusions from it. But Solomon was quick to clarify that the thank-you note was for the season, and it was not a goodbye note (which many thought it was, and his agent had to come out and speak about it).

During his recent spell away from Hotspur Way, Solomon had a set of fairly decent outings, and while he came off the bench for most of the games, he ended up helping his temporary employers survive. And while the Serie A side had a purchase option, they passed on it, which now leaves his future quite open in the offseason.

Three outcomes possible for Manor Solomon this summer

Ideally this could mean that it can go three possible ways for Solomon. He can end up talking with De Zerbi and ending up convincing the former Seagulls head coach to keep him around as a squad option. Or there is a chance that he might go back to Fiorentina on a lower fee than in the option, and Tottenham ends up sanctioning that transfer, given that it lightens the wage book.

And lastly, after the conversation, RDZ ends up deciding that Solomon has no role in his Tottenham, but his agent ends up complicating a transfer, given there are multiple clubs now looking to sign him on the back of the success he had at Fiorentina.

At the moment, everything points to that first conversation with De Zerbi (which apparently has not happened just yet).

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sport 5 via Sport Witness, he said:

“I didn’t say goodbye to Fiorentina, I wanted to thank you for the post. I had a great time at Fiorentina, I don’t know what will happen.”
