Micky Hazard has given a special mention to two Tottenham Hotspur players who impressed him during their 3-0 thrashing of Everton.
Tottenham Hotspur gave their supporters something to smile about with an impressive triumph over Everton. The win means Spurs are the first senior men’s team to come away from the Hill Dickinson Stadium victorious after a competitive fixture.
Tottenham’s performance was much improved from their previous Premier League fixture, a 2-1 home defeat against Aston Villa.
It means Spurs have now won four more points away from home than any other team in the league this season. However, their record at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is very poor, with just four points accumulated from four matches.
Micky Hazard lauds Micky van de Ven and Guglielmo Vicario
Spurs legend Micky Hazard has sounded the ‘what if’ scenario, considering where Tottenham might be if they could get results at their own ground.
However, he is very pleased with Sunday’s performance and credited two defensive talents who played a key role in sealing the 3-0 win.

He posted on X: “Well, another away 3 points, imagine if our home form had been great, still there’s time. Vicario unbelievable today, I think he’s an amazing goalkeeper, one of the very best. Then there’s Micky, I mean all Micky’s who played for Spurs are great.”
Vicario has responded to his Tottenham critics in the best way possible
Micky van de Ven was certainly impressive against Everton, but this is to be expected considering just how good a player he has been at Spurs.
Guglielmo Vicario, on the other hand, does not have the same reputation as his temporary captain. In fact, many Tottenham fans have called on him to be dropped from the first-team.
Rather than seeking to defend himself through meaningless words, Vicario has put in the work and delivered two brilliant performances against Monaco and Everton respectively. There can be no doubt that he is the best goalkeeper to have between the sticks right now.
