Antoine Semenyo wasted no time reminding Mohammed Kudus of Tottenham’s 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth, with the Ghana teammates exchanging light-hearted words while on international duty.
Tottenham Hotspur could not make it three wins from three in the Premier League last month, as their perfect record was ruined by AFC Bournemouth, who beat Frank’s side 1-0.
Spurs looked like a shadow of the team that beat Manchester City and Burnley in their earlier league fixtures, as Andoni Iraola’s side dominated Thomas Frank’s team, restricting them to just one shot on target all game.
That defeat sees Tottenham’s run of not winning matches before an international break continue, one that dates back to October 2023.
Mohammed Kudus teased by Antoine Semenyo during international break
Several Tottenham players have now jetted off to represent their countries this international break, including new signing Mohammed Kudus.
The Spurs winger is now in the Ghana camp, where he has linked up with Bournemouth talisman Antoine Semenyo, who was quick to remind the Tottenham man of the weekend’s defeat.
Speaking on Ghana’s official social media channel, Semenyo said before breaking into laughter: “Hey guys, you know who it is, kuku my boy, how’s the game on Saturday. How was the game on Saturday? Let me go ask him how the game was on Saturday.”

He continued to push his teammate: “How was the game on Saturday?” To which Kudus replied calmly: “It was good, we will be back.” A visibly jovial Semenyo then ran off, shouting: “1 nil”
Antoine Semenyo showed why Tottenham had interest
Semenyo, who had been linked with a move to Tottenham during the summer window, was impressive against the Lilywhites.
He caused Pedro Porro a lot of problems down on Spurs’ right, with the full-back struggling to contain the Ghana international.
It is clear why Tottenham were in the race for Semenyo, but Spurs’ pursuit ended with the Bournemouth forward extending his stay at the Vitality Stadium.
