Omar Marmoush has been linked with a move away from Manchester City in the January transfer window just one year after moving to the Premier League
Omar Marmoush is reportedly keen to remain in the Premier League should he depart Manchester City during the January transfer window amid interest from Tottenham.
The 26-year-old's future at the Etihad Stadium has been a topic of speculation since the arrival of Antoine Semenyo. Pep Guardiola strengthened his attacking line-up for the second half of the season with the £64million acquisition of Semenyo.
The Ghanaian international has made an impressive start at the Citizens, netting three goals in his first four appearances across all competitions. This has cast uncertainty over Marmoush's position at the club, despite him scoring upon his return to the starting XI in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Wolves.
The forward has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce since the transfer window opened, and recent reports from Turkey have shed light on their interest. Turkish publication Sabah has reported that Fenerbahce are in talks with City and are prepared to offer €30m (£26m) to bring Marmoush, who has also been linked with Spurs, to the Super Lig.

However, the report suggests that Marmoush would rather stay in the Premier League, with Tottenham and Aston Villa showing interest, although the player himself prefers a loan move. With Villa nearing the completion of a deal for Tammy Abraham, this could give Spurs the upper hand in securing the forward's signature this month, though Fenerbahce's eagerness to finalise a deal presents a significant challenge, reports the Express.
Both Spurs and Villa are searching for attacking reinforcements before the January transfer window closes. Thomas Frank's side have already secured Conor Gallagher this month, but with Richarlison sidelined through injury, Dominic Solanke remains their sole recognised centre-forward option.
Meanwhile, one attacking target that won't be heading to Spurs is Brazilian prospect Rayan, who is currently undergoing a medical at Bournemouth ahead of a £30m move.
