Bayern Munich star Joao Palhinha has been linked with a move to Tottenham this summer.
With news of Morgan Gibbs-White signing a new deal at Nottingham Forest, Tottenham can now turn their attention to other targets, or perhaps revisit some of the links from earlier in the summer.
One of those saw Palhinha linked with a move to Tottenham, with several other Premier League clubs also keeping an eye on the midfielder.
The Portuguese international previously spent time at Fulham, where he attracted enough interest with his performances to earn his move to Bayern Munich.
Yves Bissouma could leave Tottenham
Juventus had previously shown an interest in signing Yves Bissouma this summer, who has just one year left on his contract at Spurs.

That could entice Tottenham to sell, and Paul Robinson thinks that Palhinha would be the perfect replacement.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Robinson said: “I don’t think Bissouma has hit the levels that people expected him to since he’s been there.
“I think somebody like Palhinha coming in, again, that’s improving what you’ve got. If you’re going to let players like Bissouma leave, there’s potential that others could depart.
“But a player like Palhinha coming in, I know there’s finances involved, but when you look at it from a fan’s point of view, would you trade Palhinha for Bissouma? Yeah, absolutely. Would you bring in a better player? Yeah.”
Tottenham must improve squad depth
Last season’s failure came down to several factors, but a lack of quality depth was certainly among the main reasons.
Thomas Frank needs that to change this season if he is to succeed, with UEFA Champions League football on the agenda.
If Bissouma leaves, he will not only need to be replaced, but Spurs will also need to ensure that they have several players who can cover that position.
