Tottenham could make a move to sign AC Milan star Rafael Leao this summer with Fabio Paratici a big fan of the player, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Lilywhites have moved quickly to bolster Thomas Frank's squad this summer after he replaced Ange Postecoglou as manager, signing highly-rated Japan defender Kota Takai and Ghana superstar Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, while a £60m move to sign Morgan Gibbs-White continues to hang in the balance.

But while some deals are already in motion, the club are still keen to strengthen their attack further and the Portugal international has emerged as someone who could be looked at for a deal.

Tottenham Move for Leao 'Could Develop'

Leao, who has been described as an 'electrifying' forward by journalist Kim McCauley, is one of the most feared wingers in Europe after his performances for the Serie A club in recent seasons.

But after Milan missed out on qualifying for the Champions League in the 2025/26 season, there has been speculation that he could be sold to help the club raise funds, while he could look for a new challenge and to play at the highest level.

While speaking on The Last Word on Spurs podcast, Jacobs has now revealed that former managing director of Spurs Paratici is a big fan of the winger and a move to north London could develop later in the window if the opportunity presents itself.

"I think Rafael [Leao] was a target that Paratici, in particular, who we know is still involved, really likes, so that one could develop if a scenario arises where the price drops and the player shows a willingness to finally leave Milan.

"Leao has always been a bit of a red herring, because, of course, people like him, but when there were seasons where Milan had Champions League football, Leao just didn't want to go anywhere.

"And then now you've got a rare season for Milan where they need money, where they haven't got Champions League football. "So would they reluctantly sanction a Leao deal? And Tottenham have looked there, but it will all depend on the player, because he's kind of in love with Milan, and he's never, sort of shown a huge willingness to leave."

Labelled as "one of the best in the world" by national team manager Roberto Martinez, is someone that Tottenham have looked at as a potential option, although no official talks have been held.

Spurs would also have to convince the player, who has thus far shown no desire to leave the San Siro, and any fee is likely to be large, which could leave Daniel Levy with a decision to make.
