Pedro Porro has revealed what the mood is around the Tottenham camp ahead of the Europa League final and has made clear what he and his teammates have to do when they step out onto the pitch in Bilbao.
This season has been a very strange one from a Tottenham Hotspur perspective, with the club having very different fortunes domestically and in Europe.
Things could not have gone much worse for Ange Postecoglou’s men domestically as they sit just one spot off the drop zone. Tottenham have registered more defeats this season than they ever have in Premier League history.
They have also been record-breakers in Europe, but for the right reasons. Spurs have broken a 64-year record by registering eight wins in the Europa League this season, which is the most games they have won in a single European campaign since 1961.
Pedro Porro reveals mood among Spurs squad ahead of Europa League final
Despite the continued poor results in the Premier League, Porro insists that the confidence of the Tottenham squad remains high ahead of the Europa League final.
The right-back claimed that there is a positive feeling inside the camp and urged his teammates to completely forget what has happened this season when they step onto the pitch for the final.
Porro told The Standard: “The truth is we have very good feelings. Ignoring the Premier League, we are feeling good, the job the team has done in Europe has been enormous, and I think we feel we’re in a good place. Those feelings have to carry over to the day of the final now.

“We have to forget everything else because at the end of the day, we’ve worked very hard to get to this final. It’s very difficult to get to where we are in this Europa League, and it’s where we want to be.”
Porro is not taking Man United lightly
Tottenham have already beaten the Red Devils on three occasions this season and are looking to make it four at Bilbao.
However, despite their impressive record against United, Porro is not underestimating Spurs’ opponents, insisting that both sides will be determined to put things right on Wednesday after the campaigns they have had.
When asked about United’s struggles this season, the 25-year-old said: “Well, I don’t think they’ve lost in the Europa League. They’re a very good team, with a very good coach, no?
“In the end, they haven’t had the luck in the Premier League. It’s like us, isn’t it? But we’re two teams that know how to deliver, and it’s going to be a very beautiful final. I hope we’re the happy ones at the end.”
