Pedro Porro has shown his class against Desire Doue in Spain’s UEFA Nations League clash against France, with the Tottenham full-back warming up for the PSG vs Spurs Super Cup tie in August.
Tottenham Hotspur have 16 of their first-team stars out on international break representing their respective nations, with 12 Spurs players receiving senior call-ups and four getting called up at youth level.
Amongst them is Pedro Porro, who is out with the Spanish national team and featured in their UEFA Nations League semi-final tie against France.
Of course, Spain were victorious on the night, winning 5-4, but the clash saw Porro come up against French youngster Desire Doue, who impressed in the UEFA Champions League final, where he scored two goals for Paris Saint-Germain, who beat Inter Milan 5-0.

For Pedro Porro, this contest served as a prequel, as Tottenham are set to clash with Paris Saint-Germain on 13 August in the UEFA Super Cup final.
Indeed, the Spurs full-back gave a good account of himself against Doue in their recent matchup, with the 25-year-old keeping the Parisian man quiet.
In the Spain vs France matchup, Porro won four out of his five tackles. The Spanish full-back also had a 75% duel success rate, winning six out of eight ground duels. He made four recoveries and completed three clearances.

Porro ultimately finished the match with a higher rating than Desire Doue, with the Tottenham man grabbing a 7.4 rating on Fotmob, despite giving away a penalty. He also registered an assist, while Doue earned a 6.1 rating before being substituted in the 63rd minute.

It was not the best of performances from the French youngster, who lost the most duels in the game, losing 11.
Doue had a total of three shots, two of which were on target, and he also created two chances, but they did not lead to goals.
In terms of taking on his man, Doue struggled as he completed one out of six dribbles and was dispossessed four times, while Porro was dribbled past zero times.
