Pedro Porro is on the verge of a one-match ban after picking up a yellow card in Tottenham’s 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

There were zero positives to take from the match as Spurs were completely undone by Forest, who are battling for survival.

Pressure has now piled on Thomas Frank at Tottenham, with his stay at the North London club looking set to be a short one.

However, things have now gone from bad to worse for the manager, with Porro now close to a one-match ban.

Pedro Porro one yellow card away from suspension

Porro has been a frustrating figure at Tottenham this season.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The full-back seems incapable of putting in consistent displays, which has no doubt helped contribute to the club’s recent downturn in form.

On top of this, his discipline is nothing to be desired, with the Spain international picking up his fourth booking of the season against Nottingham Forest.

Late in the match, Porro took out Neco Williams after Forest put together a series of passes, with the full-back picking up a yellow for the incident.

Now, the Spurs man is one card after from a one-match suspension.

In the Premier League, if you are yellow-carded five times between match day one and 19, you are suspended for one game.

Therefore, Porro will now have to navigate the next three games without being booked, or he will be banned.

How bad was Porro against Nottingham Forest?

According to Fotmob on 14 December, Porro was dire against Nottingham Forest.

The full-back only completed 72 per cent of his passes and failed to make a single successful dribble or cross.

It was a bleak performance from a player who looked to have turned a corner in recent matches.

Now, Frank will be furious with his display, with the Spain international nowhere near the standard required to compete in the Premier League.
