Roberto De Zerbi faces another crucial selection call as Tottenham Hotspur prepare for a defining clash against Leeds United, and we have attempted to predict how the Italian could line up on Monday night.
Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping their home performances under Roberto De Zerbi improve as they embark on a new era under the Italian.
The former Brighton manager has recorded two wins in his first four games as Spurs boss this year, achieving something both Thomas Frank and Igor Tudor failed to do in 2026.
However, with a home clash against Leeds United up next, many Tottenham supporters will be hoping it delivers a first Premier League home win of the year as they continue their fight to beat the drop.
A victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday night will ensure Spurs keep their destiny in their own hands, regardless of the result at the London Stadium when West Ham takes on Arsenal.
Ahead of the game, we have attempted to predict how De Zerbi might line up as he looks to secure his first home win.
Tottenham predicted XI vs Leeds United as Roberto De Zerbi weighs key calls
Goalkeeper – Antonin Kinsky: Guglielmo Vicario has still not returned to the Tottenham squad since his hernia surgery back in March, and as a result, we expect Kinsky to continue in goal.
MORE SPURS STORIES
Right-back – Pedro Porro: The Spaniard has certainly looked much better under De Zerbi, and we expect him to keep his place on the right of the defence.
Centre-back – Kevin Danso: The Austrian showed he is very capable of defending in a high line, helping Spurs maintain pressure high up the pitch by pressing Aston Villa players even to the halfway line. He is vital and, with Cristian Romero still out, should continue here.
Centre-back – Micky van de Ven: There was a slight scare about van de Ven’s fitness after the Aston Villa game, but De Zerbi has since stated there is no issue with the centre-back, and we expect him to start once more.
Left-back – Destiny Udogie: He returned to the Tottenham XI against Aston Villa and put in another solid display on the left. With no injury concerns, he should start again.
Pivot midfielder – Rodrigo Bentancur: The Uruguayan was immense once again in the middle of the park, but was forced off after picking up a knock against Aston Villa. De Zerbi has since revealed it is nothing serious, so he is expected to continue.
Pivot midfielder – Joao Palhinha: The Spurs boss was full of praise for Palhinha after his impressive display against Villa. The on-loan holding midfielder plays with passion and hunger, which is exactly what Tottenham need right now, and there is no reason for him to be benched.
Centre-midfielder – Conor Gallagher: There is no bigger praise than what De Zerbi said, that with Gallagher, it is like playing with 12 players. He put in his best performance against Villa and grabbed his first goal, and right now, he is one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Right midfielder – Kolo Muani: Tottenham remain short in attack, with just three fully fit players. Muani showed some improvement against Aston Villa, and if he can build on that against Leeds, it will be a boost for Spurs.
Striker – Richarlison: He came in for Dominic Solanke last time out and marked his return with a goal, taking his league tally to ten. With Solanke still out, we expect Richarlison to lead the line again.
