Premier League experts predict final table - crashing end for Newcastle United & Tottenham Hotspur

Newcastle United’s 2025-26 season is at risk of fizzling out, though some will argue it already has.

The Magpies have lost their last three Premier League matches 2-1, the latest coming at home to AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

Eddie Howe’s side took the lead in defeats to Sunderland and Crystal Palace but against Bournemouth equalised before conceding in the 85th minute.

Not only are United on a three-match losing streak, but they have also lost eight of their 11 matches. It’s also five defeats from six on home turf, with Howe’s side languishing in 14th place.

With only five matches of the season remaining, United are six points below the European places and, up until Brighton & Hove Albion’s late equaliser at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening, were maybe worried about being dragged into the relegation picture.

Next up for Newcastle is a trip to Premier League leaders Arsenal, where their last and only league win at the Emirates came 16 years ago.
