Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham have all shown interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka in recent weeks, but the Germany international has reportedly 'said yes' to a summer move to AC Milan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Man United, Tottenham and Arsenal had been keen to bring the experienced 31-year-old to the Premier League, given he will be a free agent when his contract with the Bundesliga giants expires in two months' time.

United and Arsenal would likely be ahead of Spurs in the race for his signature if he did choose to move to England, given both are set to be able to offer the carrot of Champions League football, while Roberto De Zerbi's men are not even guaranteed to be in the Premier League next term.

The Red Devils in particular are planning a big overhaul of their central midfield this summer, with Casemiro's summer exit already confirmed and Manuel Ugarte likely to join him in leaving with Sir Jim Ratcliffe keen for him to be sold.

United want to bring in at least two new faces in that position, according to GIVEMESPORT sources, to complement Kobbie Mainoo after he signed his new contract at Old Trafford.

Man Utd and Arsenal 'Made Moves' for Goretzka

Gazzetta dello Sport reported at the end of March that United and Arsenal have 'already made moves' for the upcoming free agent ahead of battling for his signature this summer.

The same report claimed that the German could prefer a move to United over Arsenal because he would have more chance of starting at Old Trafford, while he is also willing to take a pay cut on his current £300,000-a-week wages.

However, a new report from Gazzetta claims that the 31-year-old has now 'said yes' to joining AC Milan this summer as he fancies the idea of living in Italy, with the Serie A giants planning big central midfield changes themselves.

Despite receiving offers from Premier League clubs, it's claimed that Milan have really pushed for his signature, with the player wanting his next move done before the World Cup kicks off in June.

It remains to be seen if United and Arsenal push again, while Tottenham's chances will be hugely impacted by whether they survive or not.

Big Summer for Central Midfield Transfers

It promises to be a big summer of transfers in the central midfield market.

Goretzka is just one of many names who could be on the move, with United also targeting Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson, Brighton and Hove Albion's Carlos Baleba and Real Madrid's Aurelien Tchouameni, among others.

The Red Devils have also been linked with Sandro Tonali of Newcastle United, who was also linked with a move to Arsenal at the end of the January transfer window.

Both clubs also hold an interest in Ederson of Atalanta, with United said to have held talks as the Brazilian is expected to be on the move at the end of the season.

Elliot Anderson in particular is in high demand, with Manchester City said to be leading the race to sign him from the City Ground ahead of the summer.
