Randal Kolo Muani’s future at Tottenham Hotspur appears to be heading towards a conclusion, with fresh reports shedding light on his next move ahead of the summer window.

Tottenham Hotspur managed to secure the services of a few players on loan last summer in a bid to bolster their squad.

Randal Kolo Muani joined from Paris Saint-Germain, while Joao Palhinha returned to the Premier League from Bayern Munich.

Both players have played a role in Spurs’ campaign, but neither has managed to secure a starting role, with their minutes shared across the squad.

Palhinha has played 29 matches in the Premier League and managed 1,859 minutes, while Muani has featured 26 times and managed 1,427 minutes.

Tottenham forward Randal Kolo Muani set for PSG return amid transfer interest

Football Insider has now revealed the decision of Kolo Muani ahead of the summer transfer window.

The wide forward has barely had an impact in attack for Tottenham, grabbing just one league goal in his 26 league appearances under three different managers.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Roberto De Zerbi has continued to rely on the Frenchman in attack for Spurs, often on the right, but his performances have remained underwhelming.

It is now reported that Muani will not stay at Tottenham Hotspur beyond this season and is set to return to Paris Saint-Germain. However, he is not short of suitors, with Juventus and Liverpool understood to be keen on signing the forward in the summer.

The Reds are looking for a cheap stop-gap option to cover for the injured Hugo Ekitike, while Muani is said to be more likely to end up at Juventus after a decent loan spell in Italy last term.

Explaining the winger’s situation, Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider that a permanent stay is unlikely, stating: “Muani has had a difficult season at Tottenham and obviously it does not look like that move will be made permanent from Paris Saint-Germain.

“It is probably more likely, if he does end up leaving PSG on a permanent deal, that a move back to Juventus could be on the cards.

“Obviously they tried, in the January window, to bring him back to Turin, but I think if Juve qualify for the Champions League, which they are looking well placed to do, maybe they could step up their interest to bring the French international back to the club in the summer.

“I would imagine that would probably be more likely than a move to Anfield.”

Tottenham’s stance on Joao Palhinha transfer decision

While no obligation or option to buy was included in Muani’s loan deal, that was not the case with Palhinha’s.

As Spurs Web reported back in the summer, Tottenham’s deal with Bayern Munich for Palhinha included a £22m option-to-buy clause.

However, new reports have revealed Tottenham’s stance on signing Palhinha this summer. Spurs Web’s latest report claims that Spurs are looking to sign the midfielder at a discount rather than at the initially agreed fee.

That would mean entering negotiations with Bayern Munich and, should no discount be agreed, they will opt against signing the Portuguese.
