Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison has been linked with a move away from the club in the coming months.
The Brazilian has had a mixed spell at the North London club, and he has never really justified the £60 million fee Spurs paid for him. It will be interesting to see if they are prepared to sanction his departure.
Richarlison is ready to move on
Brazilian club Flamengo are interested in securing his signature, and the player is open to the move. Richarlison has reportedly given his approval to the transfer, and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can negotiate an acceptable deal.
Fabricio Lopes claims on Bolavip: “The one Flamengo really want is Richarlison, the former Fluminense man. The values are still being discussed and are much higher than what Brazilian clubs usually pay. But Richarlison has already given the ‘ok’ to negotiate with Flamengo if he returns to South America.”
Spurs should keep Richarlison
The Brazilian has shown improvement under Thomas Frank, and selling him in the middle of the season could prove to be a mistake. Tottenham are already lacking in quality and depth in the attacking unit. Dominic Solanke has not been able to find the back of the net regularly, and Randal Kolo Muani has only just returned from injury.
If Tottenham decide to sell the Brazilian, they should look to bring in a quality replacement first.
It remains to be seen how the situation develops. The player is at the peak of his career, and he will look to get back to his best. Returning to Brazil with Flamengo could be ideal for him. It could help him regain his form and confidence in his comfort zone.
With the World Cup coming up in 2026, he will look to get back to his best so that he can contribute for Brazil.
