Tottenham forward Richarlison has been linked with a move away from the club this summer, with the Brazilian reportedly a target for former side Everton

Former Everton striker Richarlison could be on the brink of a surprising departure from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, with reports suggesting that the Europa League champions might use the Brazilian as part of a deal to secure Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

The 28 year old has been with Spurs for the past three seasons, having moved from Everton in a £60m deal back in June 2022. However, under the management of Antonio Conte and Ange Postecoglou, Richarlison has found himself playing a peripheral role at Tottenham.

There are rumours that the Brazilian could make a sensational return to Everton, but recent reports from the Daily Mail suggest that he might be used as part of a swap deal to bring Eze to North London.

Negotiations between Tottenham and Crystal Palace reportedly kicked off last week, with Spurs keen on bringing the England international to their ranks.

Eze, who is also on Arsenal's radar, has allegedly expressed his wish to join the Europa League victors to Palace officials.

The 27 year old midfielder featured in Palace's Premier League opener against Chelsea on Sunday, and following the match, manager Glasner hinted that Eze is likely to play in Thursday's Europa League Conference qualifier against Fredrikstad, reports the Liverpool Echo.

"There are a lot of rumours about Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi, but they were 100% with this group... and they have proved that in a big way," Glasner stated.

Regarding Eze, he further commented: "He will come tomorrow to the Crystal Palace training ground, Tuesday off, we take Wednesday and I expect him to be back playing for us against Fredrikstad."

Last week, Richarlison scored a stunning scissor kick effort to double Tottenham’s lead against Burnley.

The Brazilian was the difference between the two teams after he followed up his well-taken first-half goal with a brilliant strike in the second.

The provider for the first goal, Mohammed Kudus assisted Richarlison again with a cross from the right-hand side. However, his cross was slightly behind the striker who pulled out an incredible scissor kick to reach the ball and fire it past Martin Dubravka and into the bottom corner.

Richarlison’s goal was reminiscent of his wonderful goal in the 2022 World Cup, and is starting to become a trademark of his. He was replaced minutes later, with Frank denying him the chance to score his first hat-trick in English football.
