Rio Kyerematen is expected to hone his craft away from Tottenham next season.

Daniel Levy has been determined to give his youth players the necessary tools to thrive at Hotspur Way.

However, these past couple of weeks have seen several promising gems leave the club, such as Josh Keeley, who signed for Luton Town.

And it now seems that Kyerematen could be the next Spurs youngster to begin their adventure away from the London club.

This article includes exclusive comments from Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham.

Kyerematen poised for loan after new Tottenham contract

It was recently announced that Kyerematen had signed a new contract with Tottenham after the 20-year-old had penned his first professional deal in 2022.

The Spurs gem’s most memorable moment to date was his incredible Under-18 Premier League Cup-winning campaign. His late winner in the semi-final at Sheffield United saw Tottenham compete in the final against Aston Villa, where he scored a brace to help his side lift the trophy.

Now that Spurs have rewarded his efforts over the years, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes that the time has come for Kyerematen to undertake his first loan.

“I think he’ll probably look to either League One or League Two for his first loan,” Wenham said.

“At the end of that really successful season for Tottenham at Under-21s level, he was an attacking left wing back, having always been a central midfielder coming through the teams.

“He had some issues with his appendix last year, which led to him missing quite a lot of football. Therefore, he’ll be looking just to regain his fitness and his levels, and hopefully he can get a good loan.”

Tottenham to loan out more young players

Thomas Frank has all the luck in the world, given the size of the team he has to work with. But not all luck is beneficial, and this could lead to him making some difficult decisions in the coming weeks.

With a big squad comes greater competition, which increases the likelihood of unhappy players due to a limited number of minutes.

As a result, Tottenham should look to lessen the burden and secure loan moves for several more young players. The Lilywhites have already made an excellent start, but with a few weeks until the summer window closes and numerous players without a temporary home, they need to pick up the pace.
