Fabrizio Romano has now revealed on his YouTube channel that De Zerbi is ‘really really close’ to putting pen to paper on a deal with Spurs.
The journalist added that he expects to give his ‘here we go’ seal of approval to the Italian coach’s move to N17 very soon.
Romano asserted that De Zerbi’s attitude, tactical quality, and connection with his players are what appealed the most to the North London club’s hierarchy.

He added that Spurs also considered turning to Marco Silva, but the Portuguese coach made it clear he is not leaving Fulham right now.
