Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on a second agreement after Savinho, with his Manchester City teammate Omar Marmoush now agreeing personal terms to join, according to Fabrizio Romano.
After making six signings in the opening weeks of the window, Tottenham haven't completed a new signing since the club-record arrival of Sandro Tonali on July 6.
However, Spurs have now agreed a deal with their Premier League rivals for Savinho, with the Brazilian set to move to the English capital for a total package worth £85m.
While Roberto De Zerbi looks set to land one of the attacking players he wants in his squad before the September 1 deadline, there could be two more on the way in the next 10 days.
The north London outfit are still keen on a deal to bring Cody Gakpo to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from Liverpool, although it could depend on the Reds landing two new players themselves for their frontline.
Spurs also want a striker, and they are also advancing in negotiations with City over a move for Omar Marmoush, with Romano issuing another important update on a move for the Egypt international on his YouTube channel.
He said: "Don't forget Omar Marmoush. It's not over at all in the summer transfer window for Tottenham, because I always told you Savinho, Gakpo, then a striker. Savinho done, Gakpo, we will talk in the next days, and then now we have the striker.
With Marmoush, Tottenham have an agreement on personal terms done already a few days ago. Marmoush is open to joining Tottenham, so this deal is advancing already on player side, and then on club-to-club side.
"My understanding is that it's not closed yet as Savinho is, but there is a very big optimism to get the deal done."
De Zerbi Can Unleash the Real Marmoush
Marmoush arrived at Manchester City in January 2025 with an exciting reputation and a brilliant record for Eintracht Frankfurt, having scored 37 goals and registered a further 20 assists in 67 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.
The Egyptian, who earns around £280,000-a-week gross according to Sky Sports, has effectively played back-up to Erling Haaland for the majority of his time at the Etihad, which makes it difficult to get consistency, especially in a new country and league.
De Zerbi would have a big decision to make if Marmoush completes a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, given he already has Dominic Solanke and Richarlison to pick from for the sole centre-forward role in his preferred system.
Should Marmoush come in, it would be no surprise to see Richarlison leave the club, with Everton among the clubs interested in signing the Brazilian.
The Egyptian clearly has a lot of quality, especially in terms of his finishing ability, and while there are areas for him to improve upon in terms of being an all-round centre-forward, he has all the attributes to help transform Tottenham's attacking options.
Guardiola was certainly full of praise for the striker last season.
