Former Tottenham players praise Daniel Levy in behind-the-scenes conversation after shock exit
Tottenham are finally returning to action in the Premier League within days, but all of the talk has been about Daniel Levy.
Love him or loathe him, it is fair to say that the 63-year-old has left a lasting impact at the North London club.
Levy was praised for gifting Spurs Randal Kolo Muani before he left, with his positive relationship with Paris Saint-Germain coming to fruition.
Now, Alan Brazil has opened up about a conversation that he had with former Tottenham players about the former executive chairman’s shock departure.

Some have suggested that Levy grew tired of the abuse he received at Spurs, which led to his departure this summer.
MORE SPURS STORIES
During his 24-year tenure in North London, the Premier League club has undergone significant changes, including regular European football and the construction of a state-of-the-art stadium.
However, the 63-year-old has often been criticised for his lack of investment in the playing squad, with protests held against his ownership.
Furthermore, Levy was condemned for not capitalising on Mauricio Pochettino’s success when the Lilywhites were challenging for the Premier League and Champions League.
Now, Brazil has shared details of a conversation he had with former Tottenham players about the departed chairman while hosting talkSPORT on 10 September.
“Just to clear up, no one knows what happened. The assumption is Daniel was pushed, but we don’t know, and he may have walked,” said Brazil.
“But I just think that he was in such a big part of his life, 25 years, that I don’t think that he’d do that. I think he loved that football club.
“And everyone agreed, we spoke to the ex-players, some great players, great players there, and they were basically saying whatever you think of Daniel on the football side of it, in terms of the club and the business, what a job he’s done, fantastic.”
Spurs supporters should reserve judgement on Daniel Levy
Given that he has only just left his position, it would be difficult to judge if Levy was a success at Tottenham.
While speaking to Gary Neville, the 63-year-old explained that his goal was to make the Lilywhites a sustainable football club, and it would be fair to say he has achieved that.
Although many will argue that it is on the pitch where he should be judged, and only two trophies were won during his reign.
If the North London outfit goes on to reap greater success over the next five or 10 years, then the finger will again be pointed at Levy.
However, if further success does not arrive at Hotspur Way, then people might just change their minds about him.
