CHELSEA have confirmed they will face Spurs in pre-season, in AUSTRALIA…

And should any Blues or Spurs stars make it to the World Cup final, which is more than likely, they may face missing some of the tour.

That’s because the Sydney Super Cup kicks off just 13 days after the final in New York.

Any players who make it to the World Cup final would likely need some form of summer break before pre-season, similar to what we saw with the Club World Cup this year.

After beating PSG and becoming World Champions, the Blues stars were given a three-week break before they returned to training.

The tournament in July and August is made up of four teams: Chelsea, Spurs, Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC.

The Blues will take on Western Sydney Wanderers on 28th July, and then Thomas Frank‘s side on 1st August.

It will mark the first time Chelsea have ever faced London rivals Spurs outside of the UK.

With seven games played in the A-League, Sydney FC sit at the top of the tree, with their Sydney rivals in 9th.

Matches will be played at the Accor Stadium for the men’s team, while the women will play at the Allianz Stadium.

Those three matches will form only part of the pre-season tour for our men’s and women’s sides, with details of additional matches and locations announced in the coming months.

CFCW stars Sam Kerr and Ellie Carpenter will get a homecoming in Aus, facing many of their national team teammates, when Chelsea Women play the A-League All Stars Women.

Enzo Maresca‘s side was almost set to reunite with Blues legend Juan Mata, who played for Western Sydney Wanderers until this season and has now moved to Melbourne Victory.

As for other recognisable faces for UK fans, former Nottingham Forest striker Joe Lolley plays for Sydney FC, as does ex-Portsmouth and Stoke City defender Alex Grant.

Pete Nuttall, director of travel and touring, Chelsea FC, said: ‘We look forward to travelling to Sydney as part of our pre-season tour to take part in what is going to be a fantastic competition and celebration of football, as we make our preparations for the 2026/27 season.’
