Tottenham Hotspur could be ready to revisit their interest in Manchester City star Savinho once Antoine Semenyo's move from Bournemouth is completed, according to the Daily Mail.

Thomas Frank's side were keen to sign the Brazil star in the summer as they looked to strengthen their attacking options, but Man City opted against selling him and even convinced him to sign a new long-term contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2031.

But so far this season the 21-year-old has managed just four starts in the Premier League for Pep Guardiola's side, and after missing out on a deal for the Ghana forward Semenyo to City, Spurs could be ready to make another move for him.

Tottenham Eye Savinho Again

Savinho, who has been described as 'elite', has found himself behind Phil Foden, Rayan Cherki and Jeremy Doku in the pecking order this season, but his quality is still undeniable and he has managed to register two assists from his seven starts in all competitions.

With the World Cup to come next summer, he is likely to want to play more regular football and with Semenyo opting for a move to the Etihad Stadium, he is likely to fall even further down the pecking order in the second half of the season.

Tottenham made a play for Semenyo themselves, but were politely declined, and it's reported that they could now look at a move for Savinho again should he be made available for a transfer. In the summer, it was reported that the club were willing to 'obliterate' their transfer record to sign him, and Savinho was open to making the move to north London too before it was blocked by City chiefs.

It's unclear if City would now be more open to allowing him to leave, although there is also interest in Oscar Bobb from Borussia Dortmund which could see the numbers of the squad reduced too, while Omar Marmoush is another option to potentially be sold.

Savinho Would Be Perfect for Tottenham

Any player that is described as extraordinary by Guardiola must have something about them, and the fact he isn't playing regularly at Man City shouldn't be used as a stick to beat him with.

But Savinho's electric style is something that would be perfect in the Spurs attack alongside Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus, and if a deal is there to be done, then the club should be doing everything they can to get it over the line.

Frank could use an injection of pace and quality into his forward line, and it would also show the club are backing him heading into the new year too, despite a tough run of results recently.
