Sevilla have now become the latest club to enter the race for Bryan Gil, but the La Liga side are willing to offer just half the asking price that Tottenham are demanding for the winger.
Gil is down to the final year of his contract, with an exit from North London seeming inevitable for the Spaniard this summer. Unsurprisingly, the 24-year-old is now attracting a lot of interest from La Liga.
Girona want to sign Gil permanently but they will not activate their €15m (£12.5m) option to buy and their hesitation has opened the door for other clubs to enter the race.
Villarreal have been credited with an interest in Gil while over recent days, some reports from Spain have claimed that Valencia are also eyeing the move for the Spurs winger.
Sevilla are now plotting a move for Tottenham’s Bryan Gil
According to a report in Orgullo Biri, the 24-year-old’s former club, Sevilla, are now looking to re-sign the Tottenham Hotspur man.
In fact, the report says that the Spain international is now seen as a ‘priority option’ at the Andalusian side, with the club’s decision-makers thought to be fans of the player.
Sevilla are hoping to take advantage of Gil’s contract situation at Spurs and land him on a discount.

Tottenham’s asking price for Gil revealed as competition intensifies

The outlet adds that Olympiakos, Villarreal, Valencia and Girona are also keen on the winger, thus making the transfer complicated for Los Nervionenses.
However, it is revealed that the one thing working in Sevilla’s favour is that Gil is clear that he wants to return to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium as he retains strong emotional connections with the fans and the city.
