It all comes down to the final day - will it be Tottenham Hotspur or West Ham United who relinquish their status as a Premier League club and drop into the second tier of the Championship?
Spurs have the advantage heading into the final day of what has been a wretched 2025/26 campaign, leading the Hammers by two points. They know they only need a draw at home to Everton - because of their far superior goal difference - to secure safety.
There are nine possible scenarios on the final day of the season and West Ham know they must beat Leeds at home and hope the Toffees can do them a favour at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the only one that will keep them up.
Tottenham could and perhaps should be safe already
Tottenham have had chances to get it done before now, drawing at home to Leeds just under two weeks ago and then losing to old rivals Chelsea on Tuesday night. Any other more positive results in either of those two matches would mean there was nothing to play for on the final day.
So who stays up and who gets relegated? It's bound to be a dramatic final day in London and former Newcastle united man Alan Shearer has had his say on proceedings as usual.
Speaking to Betfair, Shearer thinks it's going to be a nail-biter. In fact, he has no idea what's going to happen at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
He said: "I saw West Ham last week, I was at the game at Newcastle on Sunday, oh my goodness, they were so bad defensively. They came in with a new system, tried to play five at the back and changed after 25 minutes or so because they were 2-0 down. But they were really, really poor.
"They've got to try and get that win and try and put as much pressure on Tottenham Hotspur as possible, because you can imagine the picture where we're flicking to Tottenham's ground and we're flicking to West Ham at different points on Sunday afternoon.
"I’m going to go for a West Ham win."
Will Tottenham get the point they need?
A Hammers win puts the pressure on Tottenham, but Shearer is not convinced it will be enough to keep West Ham in the Premier League.
He added: "Unfortunately [for them], I don’t think it will be enough to keep them up as I can see Spurs and Everton playing out a draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
"It's such a tough one to call, I mean, I have no confidence on either side, and this is a pure guess. The pressure that Spurs are going to be under, I do think that Everton will go and get something off Spurs. I'm going to go and say a draw, and I think Spurs will stay up on goal difference."
