It could be an incredibly busy summer transfer window for Tottenham as they look to steer themselves away from another relegation battle in the Premier League.

Spurs finished 17th last season, and it looks as though they could finish there again, as all they need is a win against Chelsea to guarantee survival ahead of next season.

It's been a disastrous couple of years, and there's no doubt Roberto De Zerbi's side needs a complete overhaul in order to turn things around.

Many players will be looking to leave the club, with Tottenham having no European football next season, which means a host of replacements will have to come through the door.

Tottenham Eyeing Marquee Signing

According to reports, Tottenham are showing an interest in signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of the summer transfer window.

Spurs were keen on signing the international last summer, but a move fell through after he rejected a deal in order to stay in the Midlands.

Gibbs-White signed a new contract at the time, which removed a release clause in his deal, but after an unbelievable season, interest in the playmaker remains.

Gibbs-White, described as 'one of the Premier League's most in-form players', has even been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season award. An incredible achievement considering Forest have been battling towards the relegation zone.

There's no doubt the 26-year-old would improve the majority of the teams in the Premier League, and Spurs need to get ahead of the competition to try to secure his signature.

Signing of the Decade for Tottenham

If Tottenham can bring Gibbs-White to North London in the summer transfer window, it could be the signing of the decade for Spurs.

The 26-year-old is a ready-made attacking midfielder with proven Premier League experience and is destined to make the step up to a bigger club.

Most of Spurs' signings in recent years, they've needed time to adapt, leading to struggles when they first arrive.

That would be unlikely for Gibbs-White, as he's performing at an exceptional level in England in a struggling side.

Of course, Spurs aren't in the situation they are used to being in, and you could argue it's a step down from Forest in terms of the league table. But Tottenham are undoubtedly a bigger club. Gibbs-White deserves to get his big move, and it will be interesting to see whether he sticks with Forest after their disappointing season.
