Now, England international Angel Gomes, who Tottenham had been courting, has seemingly chosen to sign with Marseille on a free transfer, also rejecting an offer from West Ham.

Gomes' contract with Lille is due to expire at the end of the month, but it now appears he will stay in France.

Meanwhile, Real Betis' American star Johnny Cardoso has agreed to move to Atletico Madrid.
