As things stand this morning, Burnley and Wolves are already relegated. The battle is mainly with West Ham. Nottingham Forest and others above are safer. Spurs’ relegation probability has dropped to around 20% after recent improvements. Which is a blessing after that percentage has recently been twice that.

A win today vs Leeds would be massive, it could take us to 40 points and create breathing room. Even a draw helps.
Results against Chelsea (tough) and Everton (winnable at home) will decide it. One win and a couple of draws (or better) should suffice given West Ham’s tougher run and worse GD. Back-to-back wins over Wolves (1-0) and Aston Villa (2-1), plus West Ham’s loss to Brentford, lifted Spurs out of the bottom three.
Roberto De Zerbi’s impact has helped stabilise things, which has soothed some fans’
Key factors include home form. Strong results at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium vs Leeds and Everton are essential. Goal difference is another massive issue. Spurs are on -9; West Ham is much worse (-19). This is a big tiebreaker if points are level.
Spurs have 100% benefited from the dropped points by West Ham. However, this is all about us getting our own house in order. Cut out defensive lapses, stay clinical up front, and maintain intensity under pressure.
Spurs are in a strong position to stay up compared to a few weeks ago, but they can’t afford slip-ups — especially at home. Win (or at least not lose) vs Leeds today, and they’ll be heavy favourites to survive. A couple more positive results should seal Premier League status for 2026/27. The financial and sporting hit of relegation would be severe, so expect full commitment.
West Ham are in serious danger, but not mathematically relegated yet. They must get results in their final two matches while hoping Tottenham slips up. It could go to the last day, on May 24. The massive issue for the Hammers is goal difference. They have conceded far too many goals, and that could well be what ultimately seals their fate.
