What is the team news?
Roberto De Zerbi named a young starting XI before introducing some more established senior players after the break in our first game of the tour against Auckland FC in New Zealand at the weekend.
The boss is expected to shuffle his pack once more – he has 35 players on the trip in total – while it remains to be seen when summer signings Andy Robertson and Jan Paul van Hecke will make their first appearances in our colours. Both reported in at the club prior to the squad embarking on tour after their respective duties with Scotland and the Netherlands at the World Cup, but neither featured against Auckland.
Which kit will the team be wearing?
We’ll be wearing our brand new 2026/27 away kit for the first time in a senior men’s game on Wednesday.
The strip’s only previous outing on the pitch was in our Under-21s’ pre-season friendly at Boreham Wood last week.
What will the weather be like?
It’s expected to be mild with clear skies in Sydney on Wednesday, with temperatures at around 13 degrees when the game starts.
