Tottenham are below the rest in the Premier League table but there are signs that things will start to click under Roberto De Zerbi
One statistic in particular shows why Tottenham will begin to spark to life sooner rather than later under Roberto De Zerbi.
Spurs sit bottom of the Premier League table after five matches, with plenty of criticism being aimed their way after a big summer rebuild of De Zerbi's squad with 10 new arrivals and a string of big name players heading out of the door, including captain Cristian Romero, goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and England international Djed Spence.
Tottenham have drawn two of their opening Premier League games and lost the other three, while also tumbling out of the Carabao Cup with a third round defeat at Liverpool last week.
However, the attacking numbers around the team are starting to climb and they scored their first two league goals of the season in Saturday's 3-2 defeat at home to Aston Villa.
One attacking statistic in particular shows the magic in the final third that De Zerbi now has at his disposal for four of the top five players to complete the most successful dribbles per 90 minutes come from the north London club.
Whoscored released the data that shows £85million summer signing Savio top of the Premier League pile with 4.3 successful dribbles per game, Omar Marmoush with three successful dribbles per 90 minutes and Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus both on 2.5. The only non-Spurs player in the top five with 2.8 is Aston Villa striker Nicolas Jackson, who scored at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last weekend.

The Lilywhites have the third highest average possession per game in the Premier League with 60.6 per cent, behind only Manchester City and Brighton on top. They have also missed nine big chances in front of goal this season, scoring just those two late on against Villa, and rank joint sixth for the most touches in the opposition box with 150.
De Zerbi's side have forced more corners than any other team in the league with 38 and have completed an average of 18.6 tackles per match, which is second in the table, while winning the ball on average four times a game in the final third, which puts them in sixth.
The signs are there that Tottenham are starting to get some elements of their attacking game right under De Zerbi but it means nothing if they cannot put the ball into the net more regularly.
