A Brazilian club is determined to land Richarlison from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, but they are facing a couple of major roadblocks, with one of those being the striker’s stance on his future.
The former Everton man still has two years left to run on his contract at Spurs, but given his inability to remain fit for an extended spell, there is a big question mark over his future in North London.
A number of outlets over recent months have claimed that Richarlison is likely to be on his way out of Tottenham this summer, three years on from making a £60m move to the club.
There have even been suggestions that the Spurs striker could return to Everton this summer, but cold water was poured on that speculation last week when David Moyes denied Everton hold an interest in Richarlison.
Brazilian club keen on Richarlison but he wants Tottenham stay
A report by RTI Esporte has now revealed that Flamengo hold a keen interest in taking the Spurs forward back to Brazil.
The outlet states that Flamengo president Mario Bittencourt has opened talks with agents and intermediaries regarding various targets ahead of this summer’s Club World Cup.
Richarlison is thought to have emerged as their number one target to improve their attack, but the Brazilian giants have one problem.

It is said that the 28-year-old has ‘no intention’ of leaving Tottenham at the moment. This is because his goal is to return to the Brazil squad for the 2026 World Cup, and he believes his best chance of doing so would be to stay at Spurs and prove his worth at the club.
Richarlison is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia
RTI Esporte say that Flamengo face another major stumbling block in their efforts to sign the striker as he is also of interest to Al-Ahli.
It is explained that the Brazilian outfit will not be able to compete with the Saudi Pro League club in terms of the finances of the operation.
However, given that the outlet stresses on Richarlison’s desire to get back into the Selecao setup, it remains to be seen if a move to the Middle East will interest the player.
