Ange Postecoglou has been announced as Nottingham Forest’s new head coach following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo.
Postecoglou was sacked by Spurs in June despite winning the Europa League at the end of last season.
Postecoglou ended Tottenham’s trophy draught, but was ultimately still dismissed on the grounds that the performance in the Premier League was not enough.
Spurs finished 17th last season and suffered 22 losses, and the decision was made for Spurs to have a more defensively solid coach in charge.
Now, Postecoglou has returned to the English top flight as Nottingham Forest boss, sparking mixed reactions.

Stuart Pearce questions Ange Postecoglou’s appointment
Speaking live on talkSPORT on 9 September, former England defender Stuart Pearce said he believes Postecoglou’s values may not line up with Nottingham Forest’s style of play.
Pearce said: “I think there is a group of players who have gotten into a groove, and the style of play has brought them success.
“If you are going to play expansive and open, does that suit Nottingham Forest’s counter attack style?
“That is my question mark with Postecoglou.”
Pearce made 401 appearances for Nottingham Forest, and whilst he believes that Postecoglou’s style of play is exciting, it is perhaps one that is not compatible with Nottingham Forest at the moment.
Forest fans are unhappy with Postecoglou’s appointment, despite it being a good appointment on paper.
With his philosophy being such a contrast from Nuno’s pragmatism, it will take some time for Postecoglou to win fans over at the City Ground.
Morgan Gibbs-White could finally make Spurs move in January
Gibbs-White was close to joining Spurs in the summer, but ultimately decided to stay at Nottingham Forest.
Nuno was certainly a big factor in convincing the midfielder to stay, and now he has been sacked, Gibbs-White could reassess his decision in January.
Gibbs-White registered 15 goal contributions last season as Nottingham Forest defied all odds to secure European football.
With Spurs able to offer Champions League football, Gibbs-White may finally move in the January window, especially now that Nuno has left the club.
