Tottenham Hotspur fans will not like what Opta’s Supercomputer has predicted ahead of their side’s trip to Newcastle United tomorrow.

Thomas Frank is a man under huge pressure after Spurs fell to 12th place in the Premier League table as a result of yet another loss at home on Saturday.

The Tottenham boss has rejected the idea that his tactical messages are not getting through to the players and cut a determined figure in his post-match conference on Saturday.

However, he will be aware that his words can only get him so far and that his side has to do their talking on the pitch.

Newcastle are big favourites to beat Tottenham

Spurs now travel to St James’ Park to take on a Newcastle side who have themselves blown hot and cold this season.

The two clubs are tied on 18 points, but according to Opta’s Supercomputer, the Magpies are big favourites to emerge with a win against the Lilywhites at home.

The algorithm gives Eddie Howe’s side a 54.7 per cent chance of getting three points on Tuesday evening and piling the misery on Spurs.

Meanwhile, a draw is the second most likely outcome at 23.3 per cent, while Tottenham have been given a 22 per cent chance of winning.

Spurs will be happy to get away from home comforts

The worsening relationship between the Tottenham fans and players has reportedly been a topic of discussion internally at Hotspur Way.

The Spurs squad is evidently struggling to deal with the pressure that comes from playing in front of their fans and would thus welcome playing away from home.

Additionally, despite getting thrashed 4-1 at the Emirates last week, Tottenham still boast the joint second-best away record in the Premier League this season, having picked up 14 points from a possible 18.
