Opta’s supercomputer has made its prediction for Everton’s home clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

After Everton’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on the weekend, David Moyes will be keen to get back into the win column.

They’re up against a Tottenham side who most recently lost at home to struggling Aston Villa, so there is plenty of reason to be optimistic.

Plus, the Toffees are yet to taste defeat at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, having won three and drawn two across all competitions.

Here’s what the supercomputer reckons will happen.

According to Opta’s supercomputer, Everton are actually the favourites to beat the reigning Europa League champions.

The software has given the Toffees a 41 per cent chance of winning, a draw 26.7 and a Tottenham win 32.2.

That’s despite Thomas Frank’s side currently sitting three points above them in the table in sixth place, interestingly.

Everton’s last five meetings vs Tottenham Hotspur

Everton actually won this fixture last season, with Moyes getting his first victory after replacing Sean Dyche.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Iliman Ndiaye and an Archie Gray own goal gave liftoff to Moyes’ second spell on Merseyside.

Aside from that, though, the recent meetings have favoured the North Londoners, with the Toffees only able to win one out of five.

Moyes will have Jack Grealish back, although Jarrad Branthwaite’s return from a hamstring injury is set to go on as he requires surgery this week.
