Tottenham Hotspur face a daunting task as they welcome Liverpool to north London this weekend, with a supercomputer revealing just how difficult it will be for Thomas Frank’s side to secure a result.

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be well-rested before they kick a football in the Premier League this weekend, given their lack of midweek fixtures following their early exit from the Carabao Cup.

However, their opponents, Liverpool, hold a similar advantage as they too will be fresh before making the trip to the capital to take on Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The two sides come into their weekend clash in contrasting form, with Liverpool arriving off the back of a victory, while Spurs suffered a painful 3-0 defeat away to Nottingham Forest last time out.

Thomas Frank is currently under immense pressure, adding another edge to this encounter as the Dane will be desperate to avoid another defeat that could imperil his position.

Ahead of the Premier League clash, Opta’s Supercomputer has now attempted to predict the side most likely to come out on top at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

According to the supercomputer’s prediction, Liverpool is the side most likely to claim all three points, having been given a 42.3 per cent chance of securing a victory, while Spurs has just a 32.3 per cent probability of winning against Arne Slot’s men.

It will be a tough ask for Tottenham, who have managed just one win in their last seven games, to beat last season’s Premier League champions.

However, it is not entirely impossible, as this Liverpool side has weaknesses of its own that other teams have already exploited during the current campaign.
