We take a look at the revised predictions of Opta’s Supercomputer after Tottenham Hotspur were blown away by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
There are already several contenders for the title of Tottenham’s worst performance of the season, but their display at the Emirates may have just taken the cake.
Not only were they beaten 4-1, but the Lilywhites had just four touches in the opposition box throughout the 90 minutes.
A performance like that in a game of this magnitude has put Thomas Frank under serious pressure, with many now starting to question if the Tottenham boss can set up a side to create chances.
Where does Opta expect Tottenham to finish this season?
Following Tottenham’s 1-0 loss to Chelsea at the start of this month, Opta’s Supercomputer predicted that Tottenham would finish in eleventh place.
Given that the Lilywhites have since drawn 2-2 at home to Man United and got demolished at Arsenal, one would have expected them to drop further down the standings.

However, instead, they have risen one place. Opta’s Algorithm now has Tottenham finishing in 10th place with an expected 53.93 points.
That has to do with the performances of other sides rather than any positive signs with the Lilywhites, with Man United dropping to eleventh place in Opta’s prediction table following their 1-0 loss at home to Everton.
Spurs are far more likely to get relegated than win the title
Opta considers Tottenham to be massive outsiders for the top four race, giving Frank’s men just a 7.61 per cent chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
However, what is even more concerning is that, according to the platform’s calculations, Spurs are seven times more likely to be relegated this season than to win the title.
Opta have given Tottenham a 0.11 per cent chance of being crowned Champions, while they have been handed a 0.76 per cent chance of being relegated this season.
