System of a Down London setlist, support act, stage times and last-minute Tottenham tickets
Tickets from £111.25 are still available to see System of a Down in London this week
Nu metal music fans are converging upon North London this week as System of a Down plays two enormous concerts, supported by fellow hard rock luminaries Queens of the Stone Age and Acid Bath. The nu-metal legends' two thrilling shows at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday, July 13, and Wednesday, July 15, will mark the first time they have performed in London since 2015.
It's a heavy metal event with all the rarity of a solar eclipse, as frontman Serj Tankian and bandmates Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian and John Dolmayan's last UK concert was the Download Festival in 2017, while Acid Bath are touring the UK for the first time after a 28-year hiatus.
Meanwhile, the Queens Of The Stone Age last lit up London with a dazzling concert at the Royal Albert Hall for their Catacombs Tour last October. Here, we dive into everything fans can expect from these two mammoth shows.
Who are System of a Down?
System of a Down was formed in in Glendale, California, in 1994, by Armenian-Americans Serj Tankian and Daron Malakian. The classic line-up was completed in 1997 when drummer John Dolmayan joined the band.
System of a Down spent years building a name for themselves in rock's underbelly, with songs that blended heavy metal and punk with Armenian folk music, capricious melodies known to dart in unusual directions and strong political messaging, particularly about their homeland Armenia.
The band's self-titled debut album in 1998 was heavily rotated on MTV and achieved moderate success with the hit singles "Sugar" and "Spiders". But is was their sophomore album "Toxicity" in 2001 which leapt to number one in the US and Canadian album charts, with the politically-laced mega-hits "Chop Suey", "Toxicity" and "Aerials" cementing the band's fearless reputation.

Support act
System of a Down will be supported by two iconic rock bands; Acid Bath and Queen's Of The Stone Age.
Acid Bath are considered a pioneering 'sludge metal' band from Houma, Louisiana, blending death metal, gothic rock and the blues. Acid Bath rocked the airwaves from 1991 to 1997, when the tragic death of bassist and band leader Audie Pitre at the hands of a drunk driver plunged the band into a 28-year hiatus - reforming in 2024. The band's hits "Scream of the Butterfly", "The Blue", "Jezebel", "Bleed Me an Ocean", and "Venus Blue" will be performed in London for the first time.
There were few bands cooler in the 2000s than Josh Homme's post-metal outfit, The Queens Of The Stone Age, who attracted radio appeal with hits "No One Knows", "Go With The Flow", "Make It Wit Chu", "Little Sister" and "Songs For The Dead", nabbing nine Grammy nominations and headlining the Download Festival in 2013 and Reading & Leeds Festivals in 2014.
Frontman Homme already had a cult reputation as leader of 90s underground band Kyuss when he founded Queens Of The Stone Age in Seattle in 1996. Blending desert metal with pop-melody sensibilities helped the band achieve mainstream success, along with a rotating list of eager collaborators from Dave Grohl to Elton John.
