The Japan international defender was signed from J1 League Kawasaki Frontale in the summer of 2025.
He joined Borussia Mönchengladbach on loan for the second half of last season, making his Bundesliga debut against FC Augsburg on 11 January. He went on to make eight appearances.
An Asian Under-23 Cup winner and 2024 Olympian with Japan, Kota has four senior caps to his name.
