Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is desperate to see his team claim a big three points against Newcastle tomorrow night.

The man plucked from Brentford in the summer hasn’t hit all of the right notes in his position as the Tottenham head coach just yet, and the pressure is mounting.

Fill in the blank: It is _______ that Thomas Frank is STILL the manager of Tottenham Hotspur

You have to go back to late December when Tottenham last claimed three points in the Premier League, and after a 2-0 defeat to Manchester United, Spurs are just six points off the relegation zone.

Frank has a reputation for being a good coach and he now feels that the work he did at Brentford can help one Tottenham star go to the next level.

Thomas Frank can help Dominic Solanke to the next level

According to the Daily Mail, Frank has been delighted seeing Solanke thrive on the training ground and in matches since his return to action.

Solanke scored two wonderful goals against Manchester City recently and in the latest tabloid article, Frank believes he can have the same impact on Solanke as he did with Ivan Toney, Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo at Brentford.

Solanke will be hoping to stay injury-free as an immediate priority and if he can do that, he will get the chance to lead the line more frequently for Tottenham.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Frank is a solid coach – even if Tottenham fans are waiting to see the full extent of his prowess – and if he can keep Solanke scoring, he might just keep hold of his job beyond the end of this season.

Tottenham needed attacking signing in January

With Randal Kolo Muani yet to score in the Premier League, it was crystal clear what Tottenham needed to sign in the January transfer window.

Instead, Spurs landed a left-back in Souza and a defensive midfielder in Conor Gallagher, with James Wilson joining with one eye on the future.

Should Joe Lewis look for a buyer for Tottenham?

Alan Sugar has spoken about the running of the football club, does he have a point?

Solanke is a quality Premier League talisman, but ultimately, he can’t take the burden of scoring goals on his own back, with others needing to step up and help him.

Tottenham are by no means guaranteed to survive in this season’s Premier League and if the club does succumb to relegation, the transfer window will be heavily scrutinised.
