Everton take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon as Richarlison faces off against the Toffees once more.

David Moyes’ side were beaten 2-0 at Manchester City last weekend and are looking to respond against Tottenham Hotspur.

Returning to Hill Dickinson Stadium should be a major boost, especially after beating Crystal Palace 2-1 last time out at home.

This meeting will see Richarlison play at Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time, as the striker returns to face Everton again.

Thomas Frank on Richarlison playing against Everton

Richarlison spent four years at Everton after joining from Watford back in 2018.

The Brazilian became a firm fan favourite at Goodison Park, scoring 53 goals in 152 appearances for the Toffees.

Tottenham snapped up Richarlison in 2022, but he has been unable to replace his Everton success in North London.

Now back to face Everton once more, the 28-year-old is looking to bag his fourth Premier League goal of the season.

MORE EVERTON STORIES

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has now told The Independent that he hopes playing against Everton will be the perfect motivation for Richarlison.

Frank praised Richarlison’s early-season form and believes that the striker is in a ‘good place’ ahead of facing Everton.

“Yeah, hopefully. I think Richarlison started the season very well and, touch wood, he’s in a good place,” said Frank.

“I can’t remember a spell this long where he hadn’t had anything, so big praise to the medical guys and the sport performance guys to put him in a very good place. Plus himself, working hard on that,” he added.

Everton should monitor Richarlison situation

Richarlison has been in and out of the Tottenham line-up and has struggled to live up to his price tag.

Reports suggest that Everton are interested in re-signing Richarlison amid questions over his Tottenham future.

A return to Merseyside would surely appeal to Richarlison, and Everton certainly need to explore another striking addition.

Beto frustrated Everton fans against City, while Thierno Barry has suffered a slow start.

Richarlison offers a more proven Premier League threat, and with just over 18 months left on his contract, Everton could offer him an emotional return.
