Thomas Frank reaction — What did Spurs boss say after beating Everton?

“Very happy to be able to go to here at Everton which is a very good team and they’ve been very good at home, a team that is always well set up under David Moyes. I’m extremely happy. Any away match that you win in the Premier League three-nil is super, super impressive. Extremely happy with many things, but I think first half we took control of the ball — phase one, phase two, more passes and controlled the game more — and the second half was a little bit more of a dogfight, which it can be in the Premier League.”

On both attacking and defending set pieces: “I think set pieces are so crucial. We all see it, there is more and more focus on it. It is a key area and I said it from the beginning when I came in: We wanted to really focus hard on it, in both boxes. We scored two very good goals [from set pieces] and the boys competed excellently in our own box.”

On Micky van de Ven scoring two goals: “Very happy with that. I’ve been after him a little bit since we came to the club, I think he had scored one header in his whole career. So we really worked hard on that, Micky really worked hard on that and now he’s got three [headed goals]. Two today is very good.”
