Thomas Frank is said to be keen to take Bryan Mbeumo and Nathan Collins to Tottenham with him if he quits Brentford to take charge of Spurs. Tottenham are eyeing up a move for the talented manager and may stump up around £10million to meet his release clause.

Frank took charge of Brentford in 2018 after impressing as Dean Smith’s assistant and led the west London club into the Premier League for the first time ever in 2021 as his side defeated Swansea in the Championship play-off final. Brentford have thrived among English football’s elite teams over the last four years and have secured two top-half finishes. But the club may struggle to hold onto the 51-year-old, with Tottenham hunting for a replacement for Ange Postecoglou, who was sacked at the end of last week.

Frank has built a formidable team at Brentford, with his side defying expectations for an extended period of time.

And, according to the Hounslow Herald, he wants Mbeumo and Collins to join him at Tottenham should he move on.

The publication have reported that Spurs are set to meet the Dane’s release clause in the coming hours. And Frank could make it his priority to raid the Bees for their best talent.

Cameroon forward Mbeumo has dazzled at the Brentford Community Stadium since joining the club from Troyes in 2019 and bagged an incredible 20 goals and eight assists in the Premier League last season.

He has been linked with a £60m move to Manchester United this summer, with the Red Devils said to be closing in on his signature last week after the player pinpointed Old Trafford as his preferred destination.

But there have already been reports that Tottenham are ready to hijack the deal, with the Lilywhites able to offer the 25-year-old Champions League football.

Meanwhile, centre-back Collins could be ready for the next chapter in his career after playing every minute of every Premier League game last season.

The 24-year-old centre-back has become a reliable presence at the heart of the Brentford backline and helped his side keep eight clean sheets in the league last term.

He is contracted to Brentford until the summer of 2029 after joining the club from Wolves in 2023 so may command a huge transfer fee.

But the opportunity to play under Frank at a club plying their trade in the top tier of European club football may prove to be irresistible to the Republic of Ireland international, if Frank does end up penning a deal at Tottenham.
