Tottenham could be set for a shake-up this summer, and if Thomas Frank takes over from Ange Postecoglou, a few familiar faces could follow him from Brentford.

Indeed, this week is set to be a crucial one for Tottenham Hotspur, as Spurs are expected to decide on the future of manager Ange Postecoglou in the coming days.

A recent report already states that Postecoglou’s fate as a Spurs manager has been sealed, with Tottenham expected to sack the 59-year-old.

It has also been reported that Spurs have held talks with Thomas Frank of Brentford. The Dane remains one of the names on Tottenham’s list of possible Postecoglou replacements, with talks about the club’s project having taken place, as Tottenham admire Frank’s ability to nurture young talent.

Of course, should the Dane make a switch to Hotspur Way, making signings would be one of the key things on the agenda for the 51-year-old as the summer transfer window is currently open.

We have now put together a list of three players Thomas Frank could bring with him from Brentford should he join Tottenham.

Bryan Mbeumo could add another layer to Tottenham’s right-sided attack

One of the names that many Spurs fans would be hoping to see join Thomas Frank should he make a switch to N17 is Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The Cameroonian international has impressed during his time at the Bees, scoring a total of 42 goals in the Premier League while assisting 30 in 136 appearances.

In the 2024/25 season, Mbeumo produced his best-ever return in the English top flight, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists in 38 appearances – more than any Spurs player managed last season.

Tottenham have already been linked with a move for Mbeumo ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, with a price tag of £50 million believed to be the amount it would take to lure the right forward out of the Gtech Community Stadium.

If Thomas Frank were to make a switch to Spurs, perhaps he could help convince Mbeumo to join him, as Thomas Frank already admitted that Mbeumo will be sold this summer, but only for the right price and it may take some persuading with the player keen on joining Manchester United.

Yoane Wissa could be a Richarlison replacement at Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for another striker, as it has been reported that Spurs are looking to strengthen three areas of their squad this season.

Tottenham have already been handed a huge blow after they missed out on Liam Delap, with the Ipswich Town forward looking set to join Chelsea after they paid his release clause.

Richarlison is said to be considering his future at Tottenham as he eyes a consistent return to the Brazilian national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

This leaves Spurs in desperate need of another forward, and Frank could help Tottenham secure the services of Yoane Wissa, a player who has impressed this season, scoring 19 goals and assisting five in 35 Premier League appearances.

It has been reported that Brentford are willing to listen to offers for Wissa, who is valued significantly lower than Mbeumo due to his age, with the Congolese forward turning 29 soon.

Tottenham have been watching Wissa for some time now, and should they manage to nick Thomas Frank this summer, maybe they will finally put in a bid for the striker.

Mikkel Damsgaard could offer Tottenham depth in midfield

Mikkel Damsgaard is a player Tottenham were interested in back in the summer of 2020, and Thomas Frank could help lure him to Hotspur Way this summer should he replace Postecoglou in the Spurs dugout.

Of course, many could argue that perhaps it is a little too late for the Lilywhites to be going in for the midfielder, but Damsgaard has been a key part of Frank’s setup, having featured in all 38 Premier League games last season.

The midfielder is also a creative outlet, having assisted 10 goals in the league last season as well. Spurs do need a midfielder who can be a backup to James Maddison, who always seems to have injury struggles every season.
