Tim Sherwood issues Thomas Frank sack verdict as Tottenham lose to West Ham

Tim Sherwood suggested that Thomas Frank would be sacked if Tottenham lost to West Ham United, and that they did on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a stoppage-time defeat against their bitter rivals as Callum Wilson stabbed home a shock winner for the visitors.

Frank is now under serious pressure at Tottenham, with the Lilywhites having won just one in their last seven matches.

Sherwood was discussing Frank’s future during the game, and he thinks it is now looking rather ominous for the Danish head coach.

Tim Sherwood thinks Tottenham could now sack Thomas Frank

Tim Sherwood believes that Tottenham Hotspur will sack Thomas Frank in the aftermath of the team’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham United.

Tottenham have been supportive of Frank up until now; however, a defeat to 18th-placed West Ham could now change the board’s mind.

Speaking about Frank’s future, Sherwood told Sky Sports Soccer Saturday: “At the moment he [Thomas Frank] is looking at a difficult [team talk] but one he needs to make to save his job. If they lose the game, he will lose his job, in my opinion.”

Tottenham appointed John Heitinga during the week as part of Frank’s backroom staff, suggesting that he is not close to being sacked just yet.

But again, loud jeers from supporters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, along with chants of ‘sacked in the morning’, could quickly change their mind.

Frank has now lost the majority of the club’s supporters, and it will come down to whether Spurs’ hierarchy feels the club would be better without him.

The Spurs News believes that it would cost Tottenham £8 million to sack Frank, which is roughly one year of his annual salary.
