Juventus attacker Timothy Weah has been linked with a move away from Italy, and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on him.

According to a report via SpazioJ, Tottenham have made their move to sign the attacker, but the player has turned them down.

Timothy Weah keen on Ligue 1 move

Marseille are interested in securing his signature, and the player wants to join the French outfit. Juventus are demanding a fee of around £17 million for him, and the French outfit won’t be able to afford him. However, the asking price will not be a problem for Premier League clubs.

Along with Tottenham, Chelsea made their move to sign the player as well. However, the player has rejected the proposals from both clubs. It will be interesting to see if they decide to come back with an improved offer to try and convince the attacker.

Tottenham need more depth in the final third, and the United States International could be a useful acquisition. He is capable of operating on either flank, and he will add goals and creativity to the side.

Report: Tottenham prepared to break the bank for “great player” this summer

Weah could do well in England

The player has the technical attributes to do well in the Premier League, and he could be a key player for Tottenham going forward. Son Heung-min and Richarlison could be on their way out of Tottenham this summer, and they need to replace them.

They have already brought in Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, and signing another dynamic attacker would be ideal. They should look to invest in a reliable centre forward as well. Dominic Solanke failed to score goals consistently last season, and he needs more support in the attack.

If Tottenham can sign him for the reported asking price, the deal could prove to be a bargain in future. It remains to be seen how they convince the player to change his mind.
